What a busy month!  It all started with Grandma Carol and Papa coming down from Cleveland to watch Sierra and Cooper while I joined Elaine on a four day trip to Den Haag Netherlands.  That was followed by Elaine working a bunch (2 days off in two weeks - you have to 'pay to play' as they say).  We had a spell of hot and unbelievably humid weather around Memorial Day, giving us an opportunity to spend some time at the recently opened (for the summer) water parks.  This last week we all headed up to Cleveland for Carol's (Elaine's mom) 70th birthday, followed by Aunt Margaret, Uncle Jeff, Grandma Carol and Papa watching Sierra and Cooper while Elaine and I went backpacking up in Alaska.  Whew-wee, what a whirlwind.

Cooper still loves his bike, and is getting more and more daring with it every day.  His gymnastics lessons have come to an end for the summer . . . just in time for swim lessons to start next week.  A big hit the last couple of weeks has been a hand-me-down battery powered quad (thank you Steve, Lori, Kyle and Konner), which he can't get enough of (the hour and a half charge is never enough).

The big news for Sierra this month is that she learned how to ride a bike (click here for a short video).  After several bruises and skinned knees, she has become a bit of an expert!  Sierra is also going to miss her weekly 'gym time' at gymnastics (where she loved to fling herself into the foam pit) . . . but like Cooper, is looking forward to replacing that outlet with 'pool time' learning the finer techniques of swimming.  The quad has also been a hit with Sierra, but was quickly usurped by riding her 'two wheeler'.

Both Sierra and Cooper had a ton of fun up in Cleveland being spoiled by the family.  Thanks again to everyone!
