RSS Feeds

(Feature added in June 2005)

This new technology can only be appreciated by those of you out there using the IE7, Firefox, Opera, or Safari browsers.  Click on the RSS symbol () to integrate the feed into your browser.  Unfortunately Windows Internet Explorer 6 and earlier versions do not support this innovation (RSS feeds).

If you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (or earlier versions), you can view the RSS feed for the Woodard family photos (among other news service feeds) on the "Jake's news" page (to view that page click here), or at the bottom of this page.  Unfortunately IE6 (and earlier versions) users cannot integrate the feed into their browser.  Another option is to download and install a RSS reader, or for those of you with GMail, Yahoo, or MSN/Hotmail accounts - there is a RSS reader that is a part of your account.

The RSS icon (RSS feed) at the bottom of every page will link you directly to the feed (which can only be read by a compatible browser or a RSS reader - see above).

Even if you don't want to add the feed for this site into your compatible browser, you might find it useful for other sites you visit often (CNN, New York Times, etc).  The ability to integrate your favorite feeds into your browser saves you clicks and therefore time.  Like all good technology, once you discover the convenience, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it!

This nifty tool should make it even easier to check in on us.

The RSS "feed" feature is currently only on the Woodard family photo home page, Jake's web page, and this page.  Although once you have the bookmark in place, it will add content links automatically as I add content to the family website.
