December 17th, 2003 Sierra is becoming more and more of a ‘big girl’ everyday. She has been playing with Cooper (until she loses interest – generally in about 15 minutes), giving him toys to play with and showing him how they work. Potty training (this week) has taken a turn for the better. About 25% of the time she tells us it‘s time to use the ‘potty’, then will excitedly scurry off to the bathroom to do her duty. I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sierra also loves to play pretend with her stuffed animals and other toys. She will talk to herself for hours, rearranging things to suit her imagination. Another new phase she has been going through is a fear of the dark. We have added a night light to her room to help ease some of the fear, but are still occasionally woken up in the wee hours of the morning. Any suggestions? Last weekend Sierra had her first experience playing in the snow (we received about 4” in Cincinnati). It was so much fun to introduce her to one of my favorite natural wonders! |
